I would ask customers for their birthday when they sign up that way I can send a coupon to use in our business a good coupon for someone's birthday could be a free wash because who doesn't want a free wash. This will attract more people to sign up and send newsletters every once in a while like twice a year. I can also send an email inviting customers to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for a 20% off coupon that they can use on their next detail.

Yeah coupons and discounts in the email campaign sound good to me. People tend to do a lot of repeat business with car detailing I would imagine, and so having discounts come via email would make me pretty stoked if I had my place I liked to go to sending them to me.
ReplyDeleteHello Cindy,
ReplyDeleteWow, I just read Shanti's post and she is quarterly, you are semi-annual, I was thinking of monthly. I wonder if I am taking on too much... Thank you for the post!
Karl
Coupons for Likes is a really great idea! Maybe even a bi-weekly or monthly newsletter just to keep your business at the forefront of your customers' minds might be a good idea.
ReplyDeleteSince your target market is primarily males, perhaps you could give tips on how to keep black leather seat cool in the summer heat, or how to keep your car from oxidizing from the sun, or tips on how frequently they should get their car detailed in order to keep the paint in good condition. Any pictures you could include of the work being done would also be helpful. I always like to see people in action.
ReplyDeleteGiving coupons and discounts is a good way to retain a large portion of your customers, and as word of mouth spreads, you will get new customers. I would suggest a monthly or every other month newsletter to keep your business fresh in the minds of your customers. I would include a lot of pictures of your finished detailed work in your newsletters too.
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy, I agree, coupons, discounts and free giveaways wold do your business well for word of mouth exposure. However regarding a semi-annual newsletter, as a consumer, I would find a weekly or even a monthly newsletter much more appreciated. And it would keep your business at the top of my mind when I'm ready to get a car wash as will others.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, here's something I got in my email box this morning regarding blog techniques which I think you will find useful.
